31.1.12

oh dear me. and a tag....again.

*in a sing song-y voice* IIIIIIIIIIIIIII hate packing!

Seriously. I never know what to bring...how many shoes....what tops....which jeans....and then.....

it gets even worse when I'm constricted to a suitcase of "carry on" proportions

oh, dear me.

But I think I've got it down.....seven tops (that are all really easy to roll up), three pairs of jeans - one of which I'll be wearing, so only two have to go in my suitcase...two pairs of pj bottoms & a couple tees, workout gear (because I plan on taking advantage of the glorious gym!), intimates, and then shoes.....I'm praying it all fits....EEP! But then I still have to figure out where I'm putting my makeup/cosmetic bag.......so, maybe this is gonna be harder than I thought.....meh....

ANYWAY.

Mooooooooving on.....

Remember this tag I did? Well. I was tagged again by miss Chelsea over at Happy Bow Lucky - she's one of my favorite bloggers right now and I am so in love with her little space! I'm not going to tag anyone else again, but I just wanted to answer her tagged questions cause they were so great! :)

I'll give y'all another 11 random things about myself (because we all know how much you love reading them....haha noooooot ;) and then I'll do hers :)

1. I lose my phone every day. Seriously. I'll walk into my room and set it down somewhere, and five minutes later, I can't find it. It's awful.
2. I have a crush right now on a college senior. if you follow me on twitter you've heard all about it. It's quite depressing, actually....but whatevs.
3.) I used to freeze worms with my daddy and then watch them come back to life. cruel, I know...
4. I am fairly certain, that if given the chance, my brother and I would kick butt at the amazing race. SERIOUSLY.
5. I have horrible vision. I wear really thick glasses/high prescription contacts.
6. I am not soul-less, contrary to popular belief.
7. My closet is 10x12. And I love/hate it . It causes many problems.
8. I hate swimming and am terrible at it. Meh.
9. I want to get married sooooooooo badly.
10. I want to sing the national anthem at the world series one day. Totally unlikely, but hey, a girl can dream.
11. if I could visit every thrift store in the country I would. I looooove them!!

And now for Chelsea's questions :)

1. If you could open your own business, what would it be?
I'd love to own my own fashion line. Which is weird...haha
2. What is your greatest fear?
Losing my entire family. I have dreams frequently that they all die except for Addy and I - it's awful.
3. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
Getting dresses, doing my makeup, and hair? 15 - 20 minutes. Waking up is the hardest part.
4. What is your greatest talent?
Humility, definitely ;) bahahahaha. I don't know!
5. Who is your favorite actor/actress & why?
I loooooooove Kate Hudson. Don't know why though.
6. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Right where I am. Or a private island....
7. If you could go back in time, what's one thing you'd change?
Eve listening to the serpent...and she and Adam eating the fruit.
8. If it was possible to see into the future, would you want to?
No.
9. What's one thing about yourself (inwardly) you'd like to change?
How much I talk. I dominate too many conversations and leave feeling badly.
10. Do you regret your past or learn from it?
To trust God in everything. And listen to your parents...hahaha
11. What is your ALL TIME favorite song?
Basically, this is impossible for me to answer. Anything Adele, John Mayer, or country....hahaha. Yeah. I have no idea. You should see my top 25 most played playlist. I kid you not, to make it to that list the song has to be played over 1500 times - that's the MINIMUM number of plays of those songs.

That was fun - if you want to do the questions Chelsea gave me, go for it! And let one of us know!

Happy Tuesday, lovelies!

4.1.12

goals for 2012

I hate new years resolutions - I think they're silly and unrealistic. But I think goals are a good thing. And I like goals. So. I have 12 major goals for this year. Some are on the sillier side but some are more serious too :) and in no particular order, either!
  1. I want to write more music - and record more. Learn more music theory. Maybe even start lessons again, who knows. Eek!
  2. I want to stay in shape! I am in pretty good shape right now, and I want to stay that way! I do not want to lose weight - I just want to stay healthy.
  3. I want to sew at least one dress every month, in addition to whatever else I make. I want to try more patternless pieces, designed by myself. Can't wait!
  4. I want to keep my room clean!!! I have a hard time keeping it nice and tidy at all times since I'm going all the time! Ugh!
  5. I want to finally get my license. I've been procrastinating on drivers ed. Luckily I have lots of time still...but it would be nice to have - soon!
  6. Do "This is not a book!" by Keri Smith - got it for Christmas, and I want to finish it by the end of the year! You'll probably get a few updates - it's a hilarious book.
  7. Learn guitar! I've had my guitar - a really, really nice 20 year old Martin since last April, given to me by my Papa, and I haven't learned it yet! FAIL.
  8. Do an in-depth study on the books of Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and I and II Chronicles. I have loved those books for a long time, and I really want to study them more.
  9. Cook more! I want to try and cook dinner for my family once a week! I love it, but never do it. I need to get on that!
  10. Wake up earlier. I seriously need to work on that one. No more laziness! It's so terrible - and I want more time in my day! Also go to bed earlier. Ugh......
  11. Do my senior year over summer - I'm going to try so hard to get it done! I can't wait to take that challenge on and try to finish early!
  12. Work more! Whether it's getting a job or putting my name on the lists are all of the resorts & getting approved as a nanny - who knows. But I want to work! I love it too much not to!
And there you have it! :) My 2012 goals. There are of course more, but these are the main one. I didn't put "get closer to God" on there, because that is something I want to and think we all should strive to do each and every day - no matter the decade, year, month, week, day, hour.

What's your biggest goal for this year?

22.12.11

I really am sixteen, promise.

See?

this is what happens when I'm doing bio. And the camera is sitting on the table, teasing me with it's gorgeousness. So. I picked it up. And proceeded to make these faces. Pretty much the epitome of being sixteen, if you ask me...right Sam? (sam likes to make faces at the camera too.) Sam is sixteen. She gets it. Right Sam? I'm sure Sam agrees with me. Cause that's just how cool she is.

While we're at it, this whole expressing my teenageness thing, lets explore the theory that boys are dumb, shall we?

Boys are not necessarily dumb, they're just boys.

boy; a man regarded as immature or inexperienced.
{source}

See, that's a boy! I get so frustrated when girls want to talk about how dumb boys are! Here's what generally goes through my mind: "if you don't like the way boys act, then you shouldn't get involved with them. They're immature and inexperienced with handling things like emotions. If you want a "real" relationship, wait till you're a woman and date a man. It only logical."

Granted, I don't totally always take my side on these things, especially when it comes to my best friend's love life and such, because all boys who don't like her are dumb. boys and or men. It's just reality. But other than that. Boys are indeed dumb, men are less dumb. Girls are also dumb, they're impulsive, among other things, but that's beside the point.

Taylor Swift is a prime example. {sorry, t-swizzle}. She would get involved with boys and expect them to act like men, then when they didn't she wrote a million songs about it. She just so happened to benefit from her inability to wait till she could date men, and made millions off of the songs because a million other impatient girls could relate to them and they bought the songs.

The funniest part though is that she's still writing songs....but now they're about men who are acting like boys. Oh, the world we live in.

Also. I'm convinced that both of these boots are my future.

Oh, wait, just kidding. They're both almost $600. Never mind.
